At DesDrive, we aim to provide a seamless and satisfactory experience for both commuters and drivers. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions for cancellations, refunds, and related procedures. By using our services, you agree to this policy.
1. Cancellations by Riders
1.1 Before Ride Confirmation:
- Commuters can cancel a ride request at no cost before the driver has accepted the ride.
1.2 After Ride Confirmation:
- If a commuter cancels a ride after it has been accepted by the driver, a cancellation fee may apply.
- The fee helps compensate the driver for time and effort.
1.3 No-Show by Rider:
- If a commuter does not show up at the pickup location within 6 minutes of the driver’s arrival, the ride will be considered canceled, and a cancellation fee will apply.
2. Cancellations by Drivers
2.1 Driver-Initiated Cancellations:
- Drivers may cancel a ride in certain situations (e.g., unsafe conditions, rider unreachable). Repeated cancellations by a driver without valid reasons may lead to account review or suspension.
2.2 Commuter Compensation:
- If a driver cancels a ride, the commuter will not be charged any cancellation fee, and alternative ride options will be provided whenever possible.
3. Refunds
3.1 Eligibility for Refunds:
- The driver fails to show up at the pickup location.
- Incorrect charges due to app errors.
- Service issues, such as unsafe conditions or misconduct by the driver.
3.2 Non-Refundable Situations:
- Cancellation fees for valid cancellations by the rider.
- No-show fees for the rider.
- Completed rides, unless a valid dispute is raised.
3.3 Refund Process:
- Commuters can request a refund via the app within 14 days of the ride.
- Refund requests will be reviewed, and eligible refunds will be processed within 2 - 4 business days.
4. Dispute Resolution
If you believe you have been incorrectly charged or wish to dispute a cancellation fee, you may:
- Contact us through the in-app support feature or email us at [email protected].
- Provide relevant details, such as ride ID, date, and reason for the dispute.
- Disputes will be resolved within 2 - 4 business days.
5. Policy Changes
We reserve the right to modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
